Creativity and productivity rarely go hand in hand and as many of us know coming up with that ‘big idea’ can take anything from 4 seconds to 4 weeks.

So in order to help us improve our creative focus against the old enemy, procrastination, Limited Fun has found some cool notebooks aimed at helping you come up with that pitch winning idea even quicker.

First up is the Doane Paper Utility Notebook – $9.50

A simple idea where lined and grid patterns combine on the page. The man himself explains it better below.

Second we have the Behance Action Book – $15.00

A sketchbook where you have the benefits of both a grid to help guide your thoughts and the open feeling of a blank page ready to have your thoughts spilled on.

They also do the Action Runner, a smaller version of the Action Book aimed at helping you capture creativity ‘on the go’.

They both are part of the Action Method which aims to improve productivity. You can watch a video of the highly useful Action Method here.

Next, the Bienfang NoteSketch – $6

This spiral-bound, paperback book combines the best of a notebook and a sketchbook. It makes a great journal and a provides a way to organize your visual interpretations and thoughts.

And if none of those take your fancy, then here are a few more others:

Field Notes

INSPIRED BY the vanishing subgenre of agricultural memo books, ornate pocket ledgers and the simple, unassuming beauty of a well-crafted grocery list. “FIELD NOTES – An honest memo book, worth fillin’ up with GOOD INFORMATION.”

MoleSkins

Solid construction, tons of options for size, grid, or ruled, a page marker, a pocket and a band to hold it all together. A Moleskine will never do you wrong.

Ex-Libris Anonymous

Each book is hand-made and features the cover from a recycled book. Not only that, some pages from the original book are used inside with original illustrations intact. Each of these books has their own story that you will never know, and it’s fun to think where they might have been.
